The Root of All Evil

We’ve heard of human trafficking
Which is such a great evil.
Those who partake in it
Are surely followers of the devil.

It is certainly love of money
That makes it so appealing.
With no regard for the children
Or the horror they are feeling.

Yet our borders are wide open,
Letting thousands through a day.
To continue with their evil plans
To sell the children for pay.

We must not turn a blind eye
On this catastrophe.
For this evil will continue
If nothing is done by you and me.

But good people are doing something
About these vile women and men.
For all the atrocities they inflict
On the innocent children.

They made a very good movie
About these very things
That are done to so many children
And the suffering that it brings.

It shouldn’t hurt to be a child
Is something I have heard,

Let the children come to Me
Is Jesus’s sacred word…

For of such is the kingdom of heaven,
He went on to say.

Deliver them from such evil,
Oh Lord, for this we pray.
