Seven Promises Poem

These seven promises to St Bridget of Sweden,
By our Blessed Mother, were lovingly given.
Graces granted to her by her Loving Son
As a pathway to Heaven for everyone
Devoted to her sorrowful heart.
These are the promises she did impart…

1. To their families I will grant peace
   My intercession will never cease.
2. They will be enlightened of the Divine Mysteries
   To understand them will become reality.
3. In their pain I will give my consoling care.
   In their work, I will be with them there.
4. Their every request I shall fulfill,
   If it doesn’t oppose my Divine Son’s will,
   Or the sanctification of their souls.
   I will then help them reach their goals.
5. In their battles with the infernal one they will survive.
   I will protect them in every instant of their lives.
6. I will visibly help them in their moment of death.
   They’ll see the face of their Mother as they draw their last breath.
7. I have obtained this grace from my Divine Son,
   That those devoted to my sorrows, everyone,
   Will be taken directly from this earthly life
   Having no more suffering pain and strife,
   To eternal happiness, since all their sins will be forgiven
   And my Son will be their eternal joy and consolation in Heaven.
