The Beatitudes

Blessed are the poor,
Of God’s kingdom they’ll be heirs.

Blessed are those who mourn,
God’s comfort will be theirs.

Blessed are the meek,
Adhering to God’s will.

Blessed are the hungry,
They shall have their fill.

Blessed are the merciful,
They’ll be shown great mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
Almighty God they’ll see.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
They shall be called children of God.

Blessed are the persecuted,
God’s kingdom they shall trod.

Blessed are ye innocent
Accused of evil because of Me.
Rejoice and be glad for great is your reward
In heaven for all eternity.
